Millwall fans have been reacting on Twitter to the news that Troy Parrott is expected to be recalled by Tottenham before 11pm.
Parrott has struggled following his move from Spurs back in August, failing to score in 14 outings for the Lions, providing just one assist against Coventry City.
And earlier on Deadline Day, the Evening Standard revealed that the teenager’s loan spell with Gary Rowett’s team is set to be cancelled by Tottenham, which will then see Parrott spend the rest of the campaign on loan in League One with Ipswich Town.
Wallace? Bradshaw? – Can you name which Millwall player scored each these 15 goals this season?
Parrott started Millwall’s recent FA Cup fourth-round defeat to Bristol City, but hasn’t played a single minute in the league in the last three matches – with his last Championship action coming in the defeat at Nottingham Forest earlier this month.
In fact, Parrott has played just 202 minutes in the league since Christmas, and appears to have seen his last action in a Lions shirt.
Here’s how the Millwall faithful have reacted on Twitter to Parrott’s expected departure:
Needs to step down a level to be fair, not good enough for the championship yet

We simply have to replace him. Typical of us we won’t. Our forward line has so little goals between them it’s embarrassing.

Shame Mike but honestly think L1 is a better fit for him atm. Our style doesn’t help him but just not quite ready for the role in champ IMO.

I will never forget how buzzing we all were when we signed Troy Parrott and thought he was gonna be the next big thing and play-offs were on the horizon …. we’re now 8 points off relegation and Parrott goes back to spurs without scoring one goal 😂😂😂 only at Millwall
