Sheffield Wednesday owner, Dejphon Chansiri, has a decision to make over the course of the November international break. 

Garry Monk was sacked on Monday, with Wednesday 23rd in the Championship table having peeled themselves off the bottom of the table in the space of the last week.

The November international break offers Chansiri time, but there should be an expectancy that Wednesday have a new man through the door by November 21st, when they take on Preston North End.

Many names have been linked with the Owls, including Nigel Pearson, who is on a three-man shortlist to replace Monk, according to the Mirror.

The former Leicester City and Watford boss has done well at Championship level earlier in his career and has also got a deep connection with Wednesday from his playing days.
