Ipswich Town defender Christophe Berra has opened talks with the Club in regards to extending his contract at Portman Road.

The 29 year old, who started his career with Hearts, joined Ipswich last summer having been released by Wolves following their relegation to Sky Bet League 1. He represented Town on 35 occasions

Moving to the club resulted in an upturn in fortunes for the defender. Having not netted in any of his 141 appearances for Wolves, Berra found the net on a respectable five occasions last season in his first term at Ipswich.
