Brentford drew 1-1 with Leeds United in the Championship last night.

Thomas Frank's side missed the opportunity to go 2nd in the table last night, with a hard-fought and deserved point at home to Leeds United.

Most expected Brentford to claim an impressive win and progress into the automatic promotion places last night, but Leeds gave one of their better accounts of 2020.

Said Benrahma had given Brentford the lead midway through the first-half. He pounced on Leeds keeper Kiko Casilla who let the ball roll under his foot, giving the Algerian an effortless goal.

But Leeds clawed one back in the first-half. David Raya had a moment of madness himself when he came flapping for a corner ball, which eventually fell to Leeds captain Liam Cooper who fired home.

After the game, Benrahma posted this on his Instagram:

He's a favourite at Griffin Park and always one of Brentford's best performers. It's not only his skills, goals or assists that fans love though - he's become a real worker under Frank and his off-the-ball game is as good as anyone's in the division.

Now on nine league goals for the season, Benrahma is one away from matching his return of ten last season.

Brentford have never had a better chance to win promotion to the Premier League and may never again, and if they're to succeed then Benrahma will be need to keep his form going.

Brentford have a fairly kind run into the end of the season, but the Bees can't let it slide now.
