Norwich City took another big step towards promotion to the Premier League on Monday afternoon, with a 2-2 draw at Stoke City.

The result, combined with Leeds United's 2-0 defeat at Brentford on Monday night, means that the Canaries are now all-but promoted to the top flight.

Norwich took the lead twice through Onel Hernandez and Teemu Pukki, both the hosts hit back with goals from Ashley Williams and a brilliant strike from Tom Edwards.

Following the match, Norwich defender Ben Godfrey posted this photo on his personal Instagram story, joking that Stoke right-back Edwards could not wait to tell him about his goal.

The photo shows both players confronting each other on the pitch after the full-time whistle after what was a fiercely competitive game.

Norwich are now six points ahead of third-placed Leeds in the Championship table, with just two matches to go and have a superior goal difference.

The Canaries will have the chance to confirm their promotion to the top flight at the weekend, when they face Blackburn Rovers in their final home game of the season at Carrow Road.

The two players know each other well from their time together with the England Under-20s and clearly have a good relationship off the pitch.

It was a big result for Norwich on Monday, who are now all-but promoted to the Premier League.

The team can now focus on delivering back-to-back wins from their final two matches to clinch the Championship title.
