Ben Foster has claimed that winning the Carling Cup Final with Birmingham City and scooping the Alan Hardaker Trophy is the favourite memory in his career so far.

The current Watford shot-stopper reacted fondly on the shock 2011 victory for the Blues, where he put in a man of the match display to seal the trophy for the Midlands club.

The Blues were big underdogs for the 2011 final at Wembley, and Arsene Wenger's Arsenal were expected to prevail but a heroic display from Birmingham saw them win the match 2-1.

Zigic put the Blues into a 28th minute lead at Wembley before Van Persie equalised just before half-time, and in one of the most dramatic, memorable moments in the history of the competition, Obafemi Martins struck in the 89th minute, capitalising on a mix-up between Szczęsny and defender Laurent Koscielny.

Foster has enjoyed some great times during his career, playing for Manchester United and representing England, so for the keeper to select that moment as his favourite memory is testament to the achievement from Alex McLeish's men.
