Defender Ben Coker has signed a new three-year contract at Southend United.
The 23-year-old, who was released by Colchester United in February 2013, joined Southend in the summer after impressing in some pre-season friendlies.
Speaking to the club’s official website Coker said:
“I’ve really enjoyed my time here so far and I believe this club is moving in the right direction.
“I wanted to be part of that. I’ve been really impressed with how the manager works, and believe he can really help me to continue developing as a player.”
