Rangers are reportedly weighing up a January move for Norwich City midfielder Kenny McLean, which has drawn a mixed response from fans of the Norfolk club.

The 28-year-old has been in and out of Daniel Farke's starting XI this term, featuring eight times in the Championship and finding the net once.

According to the Scottish Sun, Gers manager Steven Gerrard is aware of the Scotland international's situation at Carrow Road and the SPFL leaders may make a move for him in January.

The report claims that the Ibrox outfit may offer to structure the deal so the fee is paid in installments or propose a loan agreement with a guarantee to buy in the summer.

The central midfielder was a regular fixture in the Norwich side last term, featuring in all but one of their Premier League games and starting the majority of them.

Since the Canaries' relegation back to the Championship Farke's faith in McLean appears to have wavered slightly as he's started just four times in the league this term.

Did these 17 Norwich City players ever actually score a league goal for the club?

The news of Rangers' interest has caught the attention of the Carrow Road faithful, many of whom took to Twitter to voice their thoughts.
