Nottingham Forest caused a shock in the FA Cup by securing a 1-0 victory over Premier League giants Arsenal at the City Ground.

The Championship outfit faced a difficult task against Mikel Arteta’s men, especially with the Gunners seemingly turning a corner in recent months.

However, it was Steve Cooper’s men who marched on to victory in the Midlands with Forest’s goal coming courtesy of veteran forward Lewis Grabban whose work was made easy by the quality of cross from Ryan Yates.

Yates once again excelled for the home side, making life difficult for Arsenal’s midfield, whilst also popping up with moments of quality when in possession.

The 24-year-old struggled under Chris Hughton and was often a cause for concern within the Forest faithful, however under Cooper, he is a revitalised figure who is continuing to shine and dominate midfield battles.

The central midfielder came through the academy ranks at The City Ground, embarking on loan spells with Barrow, Shrewsbury Town, Notts County and Scunthorpe United, all before cementing a regular spot in the Forest starting XI and amassing over 100 appearances for the Reds.

Here, we take a look at how Forest fans on Twitter have reacted to Yates’ performance last night…
