After controversial events in West Brom's 2-2 draw with Nottingham Forest on Tuesday night, Albion forward Dwight Gayle has received punishment for simulation.

The club have confirmed that the 28-year-old has been charged by the Football Association with 'Successful Deception of a Match Official', after the forward seemingly dived after a challenge from Alexander Milosevic, that gave Albion a penalty in the dying embers of the game.

Jay Rodriguez stepped up to salvage a point for the Baggies, who were losing 2-1 at the time against a resilient Nottingham Forest side.

The West Midlands club have until Thursday afternoon to respond to the FA, and reports from John Percy of the Telegraph claim that the striker is likely to receive a two-game ban should he and the club accept the charge.
