Sheffield Wednesday defender Dominic Iorfa has posted a video of himself back running on grass as he recovers from his Achilles injury, which has drawn an excited response from many Owls fans.

Iorfa was a key player for Wednesday in 2019/20 but missed the majority of the most recent campaign due to injury, struggling with a hamstring problem before suffering a season-ending Achilles injury in December.

The centre-back faced a long period sidelined following surgery but is making progress toward a potential return and took to Twitter to post a video of him back running on grass today.

After a significant chunk of Darren Moore's squad was released at the end of their contracts, including the likes of Tom Lees and Joost van Aken, Iorfa is set to be more important than ever next term.

Wednesday will be hoping to bounce back up to the Championship at the first time of asking and having the 25-year-old back fit will be a huge boost for them.

The defender has suggested previously that his target is to be back fit for the first day of pre-season and this latest update would suggest he's on track to do that.

It's certainly excited the Hillsborough faithful, with many supporters taking to Twitter to share their thoughts...
