Many Sheffield Wednesday fans have provided their verdict on centre-back Julian Borner's start to life at the club, with the majority of them heaping praise on the German.

Borner joined as a free agent in the summer after seeing his contract expire with Bundesliga 2 side Arminia Bielefeld.

The 28-year-old arrived with the unenviable task of replacing the 2018/19 Player of the Season Michael Hector, who had been on loan at Hillsborough.

Borner has done a great job of filling the void left by Hector this season and has played every minute of every Championship game so far.

The defender has dealt well with the change of manager and change of defensive partner, due to the injury to Tom Lees, and looks set to be an integral player this season.

Having spent the majority of his career in the lower leagues of German football, Borner was something of a left-field addition and it would've been understandable for Owls fans to be a little underwhelmed by his arrival but he seems to have impressed so far.

Many Wednesday fans took to Twitter to reveal their one-word descriptions for the German defender's first few months at the Yorkshire club.
