West Brom host Bristol City in what should be a very entertaining clash between two sides at The Hawthorns tonight.

Albion are one of the favourites to go up following relegation last season, but they've stuttered this so far, failing to show a consistency in terms of both results and performances.

They were extremely fortunate to draw with Birmingham last time out, however on their own patch they have been excellent at times this season, with the 7-1 win over QPR an obvious positive.

However, they're unlikely to have it all their own way against the Robins tonight, with Lee Johnson's men surprising a few at this early stage of the season.

Having lost influential figures such as Aden Flint and Bobby Reid, many thought City would struggle to challenge for the top six as they had done last season.

Yet, they head to the West Midlands third in the league having won four on the bounce. Therefore, it promises to be a good game between two good sides.

But, who would make a combined XI from these teams?

We take a look...

The former Aston Villa man has established himself as one of the best outside the top-flight in the past 18 months and he showed his worth with a crucial penalty save on Friday against Blues for Darren Moore's men.

The right-back joined the Robins from Sheffield Wednesday this summer and has settled in superbly.

Even though he hasn't found his best form after a difficult summer that saw him push for a move, if Dawson gets anywhere near his best, he will be outstanding at this level.

Webster had big boots to fill having joined for big-money from Ipswich to replace Flint but it's so far, so good, with the 23-year old impressing.

Gibbs is arguably the best left-back in the league and a player Albion did well to keep.

One of the Baggies best performers this season, Phillips is showing his quality and contributing with crucial goals and assists.

The former England international has shown his class at times this season and can help Albion control the game tonight.

However, Pack will be trying to do the same for the visitors and he has proven himself to be an influential player for Johnson in the past few seasons.

The on-loan Leicester man has been a bright spark this season for Albion with his pace, trickery and positive play.

Another outstanding player in his position in the league, Gayle guarantees goals and is a major threat to any Championship defence.

It's tough to leave out Andi Weimann who has started brilliantly, but you have to say that Rodriguez is the better all-round player and has scored four times already this season.
