Blackburn Rovers are on the hunt for a little bit of consistency in the Championship.

A very good transfer window has left Tony Mowbray's side with a squad capable of making the top-six, whilst Adam Armstrong's goals might take them even further.

One summer signing has struggled to get going so far, though. That man is Barry Douglas, who has faced a period of isolation after just two appearances after arriving from Leeds United.

After a period of isolation, Douglas is now back in the building with Blackburn and has taken to Instagram to issue a message from outside the club's training ground:

Rovers currently sit 12th in the Championship table, five points adrift of the play-off places after an inconsistent start to the season.

They head into the November international break with a good win under their belts, though, with Mowbray's side beating Queens Park Rangers 3-1 on Saturday.

Armstrong scored his 11th goal of the season in that game.

The Verdict

It's been frustrating for Douglas at Blackburn. It has been a very stop-start month for him, but he will be ready to go after November's international break.

Mowbray's side are flying in terms of attack because of Armstrong, but there's a need to tighten things up at the other end of the pitch.

Douglas will be important to that and getting him in the side regularly will be a priority for the manager from here.
