Moore's side are fourth in the table on 82 points, part of a four-way race for the three places in the play-offs.

Sunderland are narrowly behind them on 81 points, with the Black Cats facing a trip to Morecambe on Saturday. Plymouth Argyle and Wycombe Wanderers are sixth and seventh respectively, on 80 points and separated by goal difference alone.

Wycombe travel to Burton Albion on Saturday, whilst Plymouth host MK Dons, who are still in with a shot of automatic promotion.

The Verdict

Last night was absolutely huge for Sheffield Wednesday.

Had they lost to Fleetwood, it would have left them seventh in the table and needing results to go in their favour on the final day to guarantee a place in the play-offs.

As it is, two goals from Gregory means that they are fourth and just one win away from being a certainty in the play-offs.

With a huge crowd heading to Hillsborough for Portsmouth's visit, Wednesday will be full of confidence of getting the required result.
