QPR are continuing to interview candidates to fill their managerial vacancy following Steve McClaren's dismissal last week.

McClaren was sacked after a poor run of one win in 15 Championship games which has left QPR in a dangerous position just four points above the relegation zone.

It remains unclear if QPR will look to make an appointment before the end of the season, or whether they will wait until the club's fate is sealed.

John Eustace is currently the club's caretaker manager at the club, but his tenure did not get off to an encouraging start when they slumped to a 4-0 defeat against league leaders Norwich.

Michael Appleton and Tim Sherwood were marked as early front-runners for the vacant position, but other names have since emerged.

The latest of those are Steve Cotterill and Nigel Pearson, according to West London Sport. It has been reported that the pair have spoken to the Rs about taking on the role.

It appears as though QPR are looking to make an experienced appointment that will help the club navigate through a testing financial period for the club.

However, Rangers' fans have had a mixed reaction to this latest development. Here are some of their responses on Twitter...
