Barnsley sign Stoke goalkeeper Jack Butland on loan

Barnsley have signed Stoke goalkeeper Jack Butland on a loan deal which will last 93 days.
The 20 year old England international joined Stoke from Birmingham in January for £3.5million. However, he spent the the rest of last season at Birmingham on loan. He is yet to play for Stoke, being behind Asmir Begovic in the pecking order at the club.
Barnsley goalkeeper Luke Steele is out with a back injury, so Butland is likely to go straight into the Barnsley team and get lots of valuable playing time.
He tweeted “It’s important for my development to continue to play matches. I see this as a step forward and a chance to take the work I’ve done with Stoke onto the pitch, and in turn help the club push on.”
