Barnsley midfielder George Moncur is in talks with Luton Town over a potential loan move.
That’s the latest according to Andy Giddings from BBC Sheffield, who has confirmed that talks are underway between Barnsley and Luton, with the latter looking to secure Moncur’s service on a temporary basis this month.

Moncur has been a regular this season under Daniel Stendel, featuring on 27 occasions for the Tykes across all competitions.
In that time the 25-year-old has managed to score five goals from midfield, although only one of those has come in League One. Moncur has also registered four league assists for the Oakwell club.
Now, he’s in talks with promotion rivals Luton, who are looking to bolster their squad ahead of an important second-half of the season.
The Hatters are challenging the likes of Barnsley, Portsmouth, Sunderland and Charlton in the race for automatic promotion in League One.
However, they did lose Nathan Jones to Stoke City recently, with a change of manager disrupting the club’s push for successive promotions.
Moncur was an unused substitute on New Year’s Day when Barnsley travelled to Kenilworth Road to play out a goalless draw with Luton.
This is an interesting development and would be a high-profile move in League One.
Moncur is part of Stendel’s squad at Barnsley on a regular basis and a move to Luton would represent a blow, with a rival getting stronger in the process.
It’ll be intriguing to see if these talks progress at a fast pace.
