Barnsley have continued their busy transfer window by completing the signing of Coventry City striker Conor Chaplin for an undisclosed fee.

The 22-year-old has signed a four-year deal at Oakwell and becomes head coach Daniel Stendel's tenth signing of the summer.

Barnsley have been tracking Chaplin for some time and have finally been able to persuade him to move to Oakwell.

The forward scored eight goals in 32 appearances for Coventry last season and was a key player as the Sky Blues achieved a top-half finish in League One.

It has been a busy transfer window for Barnsley so far, with Stendel looking to strengthen his squad and build a team that can compete in the Championship next season, following their promotion from League One last season.

Chaplin could make his debut for Barnsley when the Tykes face Fulham at Oakwell on the opening day of the Championship season.

This is a decent signing for Barnsley. Chaplin is a good player and he's got plenty of experience in the EFL, so it will be interesting to see if he can handle the step up to the Championship.

He was a key player for Coventry last season and if anyone help him reach his full potential, it's Stendel.
