Barnsley are set to be handed a major boost this weekend as Marc Roberts will be available for selection, according to The Sheffield Star.

The Tykes travel to Norwich City tomorrow and skipper Roberts was an injury doubt after picking up an ankle injury against Ipswich Town last weekend.

However, Barnsley boss Paul Heckingbottom has revealed that the tough centre half is willing to play through the pain barrier this weekend.

Talking about Marc Roberts’ availability and giving an injury update, Heckingbottom said:

“We’ve been looking after Robbo, but he’s adamant he’ll be fine.

“On Saturday, when he’d done it, he wanted to play on.

“He was adamant he was OK.

“He’s one of those players that just wants to carry on, which is good.

“It’s a case of knowing your players.”

In other injury news, full back duo Andy Yiadom and Aidan White are not fit for the Norwich clash.
