Swansea City have entered the race to sign Barnsley defender Marc Roberts, according to the Yorkshire Post.
Swansea join fellow Premier League rivals Burnley and West Bromwich Albion in the race to sign Marc Roberts.
Roberts has recently been handed the captaincy at Barnsley after Conor Hourihane departed the club to join Aston Villa.
Hourihane became the third key player to exit Oakwell this month, following Sam Winnall and James Bree out of the club.
Barnsley will be desperate not to lose another star man so they will look to keep towering centre half Roberts at the club beyond tomorrow’s deadline.
The 26-year-old has emerged as a target for Swansea.
The Swans might look to reunite him with his former centre back partner Alfie Mawson, who left Barnsley to join the Premier League outfit in the summer.
After plying his trade in non-league, Roberts earned his move to then League One Barnsley in summer 2015 and has been a key player ever since.
