Barnsley have decided to extend the loan contract of Hull defender Joe Dudgeon to January of next year, according to teamtalk.
The 23 year-old left-back arrived at the club from the KC Stadium initially on a one month loan spell at the start of the season and has since gone on to feature in all five of the Reds’ league fixtures.
Oakwell boss Danny Wilson spoke about the extension to the club website, saying: “It’s a great bonus for us. He’s a little warrior and a tremendous young player. I’m delighted he’s staying on.”
Dudgeon was a product of the Manchester United youth academy and, after enjoying a successful loan spell with Carlisle, permanently signed for the Tigers back in May 2011.
He has so far made 29 appearances for Steve Bruce’s side.
