Barnsley have completed the signing of Leyton Orient striker Victor Adeboyejo, the BBC has confirmed.
The 19-year-old has joined the Reds from Orient and will now get the chance to impress for Paul Heckinbottom’s side after already featuring for their under-23’s and catching the eye of the manager and coaching staff alike.
Adeboyejo is of Nigerian descent, and has been highly touted in the last few seasons, where he has had trials with Premier League clubs as well as impressing during his time with Orient so far.
He made 14 appearances last season for Orient and bagged two goals, and he will be hoping the move to a bigger club in a higher league will give him the chance to push on and earn more valuable experience, while he will also be looking to get some minutes on the pitch and improve his overall game.
Barnsley have once again made a steady enough start to the Championship season and defeated Birmingham City 2-0 yesterday at Oakwell.
Reds fans, what do you make of this? Good signing? Let us know in the comments!
