Grimsby’s Omar Bogle is close to agreeing a move to sign for Championship Play-Off contenders, Barnsley, according to reliable journalist, Alan Biggs.
Bogle tops the goal scoring charts in League Two with 18 goals, averaging a goal every 112 minutes, an extremely impressive goal return.
The move, that is likely to go through soon, comes just days after Grimsby boss, Marcus Bignot, profusely said that Bogle was ‘not for sale’.
Grimsby signed Bogle from non-league Solihull Moors in 2015 and Bogle has quickly adapted to life in the Football League and he now looks set to move to England’s second tier.
Bogle is no doubt looking to take a similar path to the top as Jamie Vardy and Andre Gray, who both plied their trade in non-league at the beginning of their career.
A move for the Grimsby hitman comes on the back of the Tykes losing main striker Sam Winnall to Sheffield Wednesday.
Barnsley fans… Will you be happy to sign Bogle? Can he reproduce his League Two form in the Championship? Let us know your thoughts below!
