Barnsley could still yet lose star defender Andy Yiadom with Swansea looking to sign him, according to Alan Nixon on Twitter.

The impressive 25-year-old defender has been in excellent form for the Yorkshire club since making the move to the club from Barnet in 2016. However, his form could be Barnsley's undoing, with the fullback attracting Premier League attention.

Swansea are looking to sign a new right back this summer and are looking at PSV man Santiago Arias, but could turn to Yiadom if their attempts to capture Arias do not come off.

Yiadom was close to joining Huddersfield earlier in the transfer window but that move fell through at the last hurdle, with the Ghanaian international since returning to Oakwell to pick up where he left off before his collapsed move to the Terriers.

Barnsley have a history of selling their top stars over the past few years, with the likes of John Stones, Alfie Mawson, and Marc Roberts all being moved on. Yiadom could well be the next one to be moved on by the Tykes, but they will no doubt be looking to receive a substantial fee for the 25-year-old.
