Barnsley boss Paul Heckingbottom has told the club's official website that he believes that the atmosphere in this weekend's derby clash with Sheffield Wednesday could spur his side onto victory.

Barnsley take on Sheffield Wednesday in a South Yorkshire derby in the early kick-off on Saturday and Heckingbottom is hoping for a great atmosphere.

The Tykes have little to play for now that their play-off dreams have taken a dent in recent weeks but Heckingbottom is insistent that his Barnsley team have plenty of fight left in them and that they will be keen to halt Sheffield Wednesday.

The Owls are chasing a play-off place and are currently occupying the final position inside the play-off zone.

However, Fulham are hot on their trail and they will need to pick up three points against Barnsley this weekend to ensure they stay in the top six by the end of the weekend.

However, Heckingbottom is up for the fight in a full house, citing atmosphere as a reason why Barnsley might have the edge.
