League Two new boys Barnet have signed former Arsenal defender Gavin Hoyte following his release from Gillingham, reports BBC Sport.
The 25-year-old has signed a two-year deal with the Conference National winners, who are back in the Football League after a two-year absence.
The Trinidad & Tobago international made 35 appearances for Gillingham last season but was told his contract wouldn’t be renewed.
Hoyte began his career at Arsenal after progressing through the academy, but only made one appearance in five years with the North London club.
He spent time out on loan at Watford, Brighton & Hove Albion, Lincoln City and Wimbledon before joining Dagenham & Redbridge on a free transfer in July 2012 following his release from the Gunners.
The defender made 68 appearances in two seasons at Victoria Road but was released last summer and went on to sign a one-year deal with the Gills.
Hoyte was capped at England Under-17, 18, 19 and 20 level as a youngster but has since featured twice for Trinidad & Tobago.
