Chelsea youngster Patrick Bamford is close to joining Championship side Middlesbrough on loan.
Last season the 20-year old scored 22 times in 44 appearances in his two loan spells at MK Dons and Derby County.
The former Nottingham Forest youth-team player has been linked with a host of Championship clubs for another loan spell this summer. However it appears that Middlesbrough have won the race with the Northern Echo journalist Scott Wilson claiming the deal is ‘pretty much done’.
The North-East side are also set to confirm the signing of Doncaster defender James Husband who is thought to have agreed terms on a £500,000 move to the Riverside Stadium. Striker Curtis Main is thought to be including as part of a deal to take the left-back to Middlesbrough.
