‘Baller’, ‘Sick note’ – Plenty of Sheffield Wednesday fans engage in Gary Hooper debate

Sheffield Wednesday have had their fair share of players over the years that haven’t quite hit the heights they would have originally aimed for in the Championship.

Hooper scored 31 goals in 89 appearances, and was a rare bright spark in a frustrating few seasons for Sheffield Wednesday.

The Scotsman’s time with the club was hit with a number of injury problems though, and the Hillsborough faithful might be thinking that they didn’t quite see the best of Hooper in his time with the club.
The forward departed in the summer of 2019 after his contract reached a conclusion, and he has since moved to Australia to play for Wellington Phoenix.
Plenty of Sheffield Wednesday fans took to social media to issue their thoughts on their former striker, who is now playing his football in Australia.
