New signing Helder Costa scored his first goal in a Leeds United shirt in the 2-1 pre-season victory against Guiseley last night and it has excited many Whites fans.

The winger joined Leeds on a one-year loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers at the start of July, which is set to become a permanent move next summer.

Costa will join for an undisclosed fee and sign a four-year deal with the club, with the Mirror reporting that the deal is set to cost them £15 million.

The 25-year-old saw his play time reduced during Wolves first season in the Premier League, making just 16 starts, but scored 15 goals and provided 14 assists from 71 appearances during his two seasons in the Championship.

Bielsa's side came tantilisingly close to promotion last season, finishing third and losing to Derby County in the play-offs, and their new winger may prove vital in helping them go one step further in the upcoming campaign.

Costa's first performance in a Leeds shirt came against Guiseley in their second pre-season friendly and he provided fans with a glimpse of what they can expect from him.

The Portuguese international equalised for Leeds in the 61st minute, cutting in from the right and finding the net after a brilliant solo run.

Understandably, seeing their new signing score on his pre-season debut caused excitement amongst many Whites supporters.
