Plymouth Argyle wing-back Bali Mumba has admitted he was gutted not to have taken three points back to Home Park following their clash against Burton Albion at the weekend, taking to Twitter.

Bobby Kamwa's first-half strike for Burton gave the Pilgrims a considerable challenge to contend with in their quest to win all three points - but Ryan Hardie converted a penalty just after the hour mark to swing the momentum in the visitors' favour at the Pirelli Stadium.

And less than 10 minutes later, Bali Mumba's pace paid dividends for Steven Schumacher's side with his run and excellent finish putting the away side in pole position to claim what could have been a crucial three points in the promotion race.

However, Adrian Mariappa's header in the seventh minute of stoppage time consigned the Pilgrims to a point, a major setback considering Burton are currently sitting in 22nd place with this game being seen as the perfect opportunity for Schumacher's men get another win on the board.

And following this setback, Plymouth currently sit just two points above Ipswich Town and three above third place, with both the Tractor Boys and Sheffield Wednesday capitalising by winning their respective games at the weekend.

Despite admitting his disappointment about not getting the win though, Mumba believes Saturday's draw is one point that will take them closer to where they want to be.

He posted: "Devastated not to get all three points but another point in the right direction!"

The Verdict:

The 21-year-old is continuing to impress and that can only help him in his quest to become a regular first-teamer at Norwich City, with Dean Smith likely to be keeping a close eye on him at this point.

Max Aarons' future at Carrow Road is uncertain amid interest from Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur - and the Canaries could potentially be willing to let him go with Smith's funds in January likely to be limited otherwise.

Their situation at left-back was also complicated by injuries earlier this season and you feel Mumba could be a decent asset at Carrow Road as a player that can operate on both sides and in the middle of the park too.

The 21-year-old will surely want to remain at Plymouth for the remainder of the season though considering they have a real chance of winning promotion, with the wing-back playing a big part in their fast start to the campaign.

If he can retain his consistency, there's every chance he will be playing in the second tier next season, whether that's with his parent club or another side.
