Leeds United's squad return to Thorp Arch for pre-season testing ahead of the new season, which gets underway in August.

Marcelo Bielsa will have some tough decisions on his hands heading into next year's campaign as well, with the goalkeeping position likely to be the toughest decision he has to make.

According to the Yorkshire Evening Post, Bailey Peacock-Farrell has stated that he is keen to move on from Elland Road if he isn't given a chance to prove himself to the Leeds boss.

Peacock-Farrell took to Instagram on Tuesday though, to express his delight at returning for pre-season, where we could gain an idea as to who will be Bielsa's first-choice goalkeeper for next season.

Peacock-Farrell made 28 league appearances for Leeds last season, but was frozen out of the starting XI shortly after Kiko Casilla signed for the Whites in January.

But Casilla made some costly errors in crucial games, most notably in their play-off semi-final against Derby County, were they fell to a shock defeat which cost them a place in the play-off final.

It remains to be seen as to who will be Marcelo Bielsa's first-choice goalkeeper ahead of the new season, but it's set to be a closely-fought battle between the two shot-stoppers as next season edges closer.

Leeds are likely to be one of the favourites to win promotion next season, and if Marcelo Bielsa can add some much-needed depth to his squad, then it certainly wouldn't come as a surprise to see the Whites challenging for a long-awaited promotion back into the Premier League.

The Verdict:

I still think he has a role to play for Marcelo Bielsa's team next season.

Kiko Casilla hardly covered himself in glory towards the end of last season, and some Leeds supporters will argue that he ultimately cost them promotion to the Premier League.

Peacock-Farrell would be more than deserving of a starting spot in the Leeds squad, and I think it will be a no-brainer for Bielsa to name him as first-choice goalkeeper for the new season.
