Leeds United shot-stopper Bailey Peacock-Farrell has shared an update on Instagram following his spell away from the club on International duty.

The Northern Irishman played twice for Michael O’Neill’s side, against Belarus and Estonia, in Euro 2020 qualifiers, winning 2-1 and 2-0 respectively and hinted that he cannot wait for the next set of fixtures.

“Happy to finish the international break with 2 wins from 2,” he wrote, alongside a picture of himself in the clash with Belarus.

“Roll on June.”

The 22-year-old was making just his fifth competitive appearance for the national side, with O’Neill sticking with him despite being dropped by the Whites since January.

But with Kiko Casilla set to serve a suspension during this weekend’s clash with Millwall after being sent off against Sheffield United, he is set to be called upon by Marcelo Bielsa once again.

He impressed during the opening stages of the campaign, making the number one spot his despite the summer arrival of Jamall Blackman.

The verdict

How Peacock-Farrell performs this weekend will be a huge expression of his character.

If he can step up and have an absolute blinder I would not be at all surprised to see Bielsa give him the number one shirt again.

But, if it is an error strewn display it is unlikely he will get another chance all season.
