It's fair to say that 2018 has been a year to forget for Sheffield Wednesday fans.

After a massively underwhelming season last term, culminating in a 15th place finish, Owls fans will have been expecting a major turnaround under Jos Luhukay, ahead of what they hoped would be a busy summer transfer window at Hillsborough.

But with just three new signings arriving at the Yorkshire club in the summer, the lack of transfer activity pretty much set the tone for the next few months. Luhukay was sacked, and after just six wins from their opening twenty-two league outings, the Owls' hopes of promotion were inevitably fading away.

Nevertheless, they have picked up in recent weeks under caretaker boss Lee Bullen, and after going unbeaten in their last three games against some tough opposition, they are up to 16th in the table.

With former Aston Villa boss Steve Bruce also set to take the reins at Hillsborough, Wednesday fans can look forward to 2019 - but here, we asked Sheffield Wednesday fans to sum up their side's 2018 in just one word...
