It’s been a tough few weeks for Adam Forshaw, with the Leeds United midfielder struggling with a knee injury that’s hampered his involvement.  

Leeds have battled on without Forshaw for the last eight fixtures, with the 27-year-old’s last outing coming in the 3-1 defeat to Norwich City.

Now, the midfielder is edging closer to a return after a tough lay-off, telling LUTV he’s hoping to be involved against Millwall when Championship action returns on March 30.

On the face of it that is a massive boost for Leeds in the midfield, with Forshaw returning to provide cover for Mateusz Klich, Tyler Roberts and Kalvin Phillips.

Whilst Gaetano Berardi is the most obvious choice to deputise for Pontus Jansson at centre-back, Phillips could be dropped deeper, which opens a vacancy in Leeds’ engine room.
