Queens Park Rangers have sacked manager Steve McClaren after less than a year at the helm, following a run of one win in 15 Championship games has left them 17th in the table, eight points above the relegation zone.

After a poor start to the season, McClaren seemed to have steadied the ship, but a dismal run of form since Christmas finds Rangers hovering just above the relegation zone.

So which three words best sum up McClaren's time at QPR?

We discuss........

Jay Taylor

“I can sum it up in less – underwhelming.

“His appointment came with a mediocre response, their start to the season was embarrassing.

“The slight puck up in form got the fans back on side, but since Christmas, they have been like the festive decorations – and come down.

“Woeful appointment and even worse campaign that followed.”

Louie Chandler

"Predictable, spirited, flawed.

"As soon as QPR announced him as manager it did not look like he was ever going to make it through the season.

"Just before Christmas they put on a spirited display, but stubbornness has caught up with him."

Alfie Burns

“Bad, good and ugly.

“It was a bad start to the season for the R’s but McClaren got them going eventually, with an extremely good run lifting the mood at Loftus Road.

“The end of the spell in-charge has been ugly, though, with QPR atrocious in recent weeks.”
