Plenty of West Bromwich Albion fans have taken to social media to discuss midfielder Rekeem Harper.

The 19-year-old made his first-team breakthrough for the Baggies last season and was able to establish himself as a key member of the side - scoring one goal in 23 appearances in all competitions.

The teenager signed a new three-year contract at West Brom in the summer - shortly after Slaven Bilic took charge at The Hawthorns. However, he's struggled for opportunities on the pitch since committing his future to the club.

Harper has made just two appearances for the Baggies this season and only one of those has come in the Championship - he hasn't even made the bench in the league since the opening game of the season against Nottingham Forest.

Plenty of West Brom fans have taken to social media to discuss Harper and question why he hasn't been included in the team.

A West Brom supporter posted in the Facebook group, The Real West Brom Fanzone : "What’s everyone’s opinion on Harper? I think it’s so strange that he was so good last year and now this year he can’t get a look in."

Plenty of West Brom fans were quick to comment on the post and give their thoughts, and it's fair to say that many supporters were quick to question the player's attitude and work ethic. Here is a look at the best responses...

Lee O'Carroll: He was poor last season too. Lazy, didn’t track back and other than a couple of goals was ordinary.

Keith Brough: Overrated, no chance of getting into this team, he will be gone in January.

Sue Lynn Babington: The first thing Bilic had to do when he came was to sort Harper's contract out. He hadn't really seen him play so was maybe guided by backroom staff. I'm sure if it was Harper needing to sign now Bilic would be trying to sell him off.

Eleanor Johnson: Not impressed with him really. Got that... couldn't be bothered attitude... thinks he is bigger than the club.

Roy Lyness: He can be a talented player , but if Bilic is not putting him in the squad there must be a reason! Edwards can be a real talent and you can tell Bilic really likes him.

Danny Wickett: Potential but attitude of Berahino, thinks he's better than he is, needs to have a long hard look in the mirror.

Colin Malone: Summed him up last year poor attitude and poor performances have led to where he is know. He has no chance of playing at present.

Ross Berryman: He's not that good technically, good athlete, lots of energy, needs to go on loan for experience - I think Charlton maybe.

Simon Mumba Sampos Holland: Far too lazy for a midfielder in a Slav team.

Derek Poulton: Strolled around last season, no drive.

Graham Richards: Bad attitude I think
