If you ask every football fan in the world, the vast majority would say they can't wait for the international break to end.

If you ask players, you imagine many will say they are ready to get back down to club business, particularly at this stage of the season.

If you ask Josh Magennis however, you could forgive him if he said he never wanted this international break to end.

Since joining Bolton from Charlton in July, Magennis has been part of a Bolton squad that has endured a nightmare season on the pitch, and look destined for relegation to League One, while off it, the financial situation at the club leading to the threat of administration or liquidation means the future for Magennis and his teammates is far from certain.

That is why the last two weeks may have seemed like something of a dream for Magennis. The striker's time on international duty with Northern Ireland has seen him enjoy back to back wins for the first time since August, with Magennis himself notching an 87th minute winner in the second of those two victories.

That strike was his first goal since a hat trick in the 5-2 win over Walsall in the third round of the FA Cup at the start of January - he is Bolton's joint top league scorer this season with four goals despite not having found the net in the Championship since September.

Now, Magennis must return to the reality of Bolton's perilous position in the Championship, and the prospect of a trip to QPR on Saturday, in what could in a worst case scenario, be his final game for Bolton with the club set to face a winding up order the following Wednesday.

It is a heavy crash back down to earth for Magennis after the highs of those last two games for Northern Ireland, and a harsh reminder of way life is at Bolton right now.

Magennis however cannot dwell on it for too long, and the pressure will now be on him to bring that feel good factor, and perhaps his scoring touch, back to Bolton now to give those around the club something to smile about in what has been a far from happy season.
