Sheffield United fell to their first defeat in six last night following a 2-0 defeat to Middlesbrough at the Riverside Stadium.

The Blades went into last night’s clash having recorded back-to-back wins over Hull and Derby, going unbeaten in their last five games.

But Neil Warnock’s Middlesbrough picked up a much-needed win on home soil, with goals from Duncan Watmore and Paddy McNair securing all three points.

Watmore opened the scoring on nine minutes, with the 27-year-old finding the top corner from the edge of the area.

McNair doubled their lead on 37 minutes, finding the bottom corner and firing beyond Robin Olsen to make it 2-0.

Oliver Norwood was withdrawn at half-time and replaced by David McGoldrick for the Blades, with his performance earning criticism from United fans.

The 30-year-old has started nine times this season, but hasn’t played a full 90 minutes in the last five games under Slavisa Jokanovic.

Here, we take a look at United fans’ reactions to his performance…
