Aston Villa defender Axel Tuanzebe has revealed that Anwar El Ghazi has made a very positive impression with his new teammates after joining prior to the deadline.

The former Ajax winger joined the club on a season-long loan from Lille and made his debut against Reading in the 1-1 draw at Villa Park.

El Ghazi made Villa's only goal that day and followed it up with his first strike for his new club in the 4-1 defeat to Sheffield United on Saturday.

And, speaking to the official site, Tuanzebe was full of praise for the 23-year old.

"Anwar is a good, good player. He has so much talent. We see it every day in training and the fans will start seeing it week after week."

"I am confident his performance levels will keep growing the more he plays in this league. I just think he will excel here as he gets to know the surroundings and the division. He just needs time."

The winger will be looking to get his first win for the side when they face Blackburn after the international break.

The Verdict

It's been a very tough few games for Aston Villa and the supporters, although one positive has been the performances of El Ghazi.

He already has a goal and an assist to his name and going by Tuanzebe's comments, he is making a big impact at the training ground.

As the Manchester United loanee states, he still needs time to adapt and should become a key player for Steve Bruce's side this season.
