These are changing times down at St Andrews for Birmingham City as Harry Redknapp tries to build a squad capable of competing towards the top of the Championship during the upcoming campaign.

The Blues have brought in a couple of new faces as they look to make a better stab of it next time out after a dismal season under Gianfranco Zola.

But there's thought amongst some Blues fans that not enough transfer business has been done with the season now fast-approaching.

However, before Harry Redknapp does lots more business, he certainly needs to think about trimming his squad a little bit before new faces come in.

There are some individuals in this squad that whilst good on their day, if we're looking to see this Birmingham team pushing for the top of the table, they might need to be moved on.

So with that in mind, here's the three players we at the FLW think Harry should be moving on over the coming days and weeks...

Clayton Donaldson

There's absolutely no doubting that Clayton Donaldson has been a seriously important player for Birmingham City over the years but the truth of the matter is the former Brentford man is winding down at St Andrews.

Despite lacking in striking options going forward, it's tough to see the Jamaican international breaking back into the Blues team under Harry Redknapp and really leading them to promotion.

His days are up and it's time to part ways to bring someone else in.

Nikolai Brock-Madsen

Nikolai Brock-Madsen was arguably Gary Rowett's worst investment and despite scoring a handful of goals for Zwolle in the Eredvise last season, the Danish striker should be moved on this summer.

If Blues are to mount a promotion push this season they need better, it's as simple as that.

He hasn't had a huge amount of opportunity for the Blues just yet but he hardly set the Eredivise on fire last season. Move him on and replace with someone better.

Robert Tesche

Former Nottingham Forest midfielder Robert Tesche has been struggling for minutes in the Birmingham City XI for a while now and there are few Blues fans holding out on the German leading the line next season.

With the addition of N'Doye and Gardner confirmed earlier this summer, he's simply surplus to requirements and should be sold to free up the budget elsewhere.
