A number of Stoke City fans have been bemoaning the performance of forward Jacob Brown following the Potters’ 4-0 defeat at home to Premier League Leicester City in the FA Cup third round.

The Potters came into the game looking to cause an upset against Leicester at the Bet365 Stadium and provide momentum for their Championship campaign. However, Stoke were unable to make some of their chances count and were in the end picked off by the quality of the Foxes in the final third.

One player who struggled make much of a positive impression on the game for the Potters was Brown, with the 22-year-old seeing plenty of the ball but often guilty of making the wrong decision in possession.

The forward struggled to link up well enough with Sam Vokes who was also unable to make much of an impact barring a first-half miss.

Did Stoke City sign each of these 14 players for more or less than £1 million?

Brown’s role in the side has been increased since Tyrese Campbell’s injury, and he will need to show that he can offer more in the final third if he is going to be able to maintain his place in the starting line-up.

The 22-year-old has pace and quality but he just needs to improve his decision making in the final third.

Many Stoke fans were quick to suggest that whilst he did work hard and cause some issues with his pace, the lack of quality he provided in the attacking third was not good enough to threaten against Premier League quality opposition.

Here then, we take a look at some of the best reactions on social media…
