‘Awful’, ‘Dire’, ‘Shambolic’ – Plenty of Huddersfield Town fans fume over 24-y/o’s showing v Stoke City

Huddersfield Town suffered a frustrating defeat on Saturday afternoon, as they were beaten 4-3 by Stoke City at the bet365 Stadium.

The Terriers took the lead in this one though, as Carel Eiting fired home clinically from inside the penalty area. But that lead didn’t last long as Tyrese Campbell netted a quick-fire brace to put the Potters into the lead.

Isaac Mbenza then equalised for Carlos Corberan’s side five minutes before half-time, before a defensive mix-up saw Richard Stearman turn the ball into his own net to see Stoke head into the break with a one-goal lead.

The home side then made it 4-2 when Sam Clucas score before the hour mark, although Naby Sarr halved Stoke’s lead shortly after.

The Terriers were unable to find the goal they needed to take something from the game, as Stoke ran out winners in this one.

The performance of Huddersfield goalkeeper Joel Pereira came under-fire against Stoke, with the goalkeeper not exactly filling the club’s supporters with much confidence going forward this season.
