‘Awesome tonight, ‘Been class all season’ – Many Sheffield Wednesday fans react to player performance

Josh Windass played a key role for Sheffield Wednesday last night as they impressively dismantled a play-off chasing Cardiff City side at Hillsborough, with Darren Moore’s men smashing the Bluebirds 5-0 on home turf as they strengthened their survival hopes.ย

It was easily the club’s best performance since Moore has arrived from Doncaster Rovers and will have convinced some that the prospect of a great escape from their current situation is still possible.

Windass has arguably been one of the Owls’ most consistent performers for much of the campaign and was on song last night as he laid on two assists for his teammates in what was a dazzling display from the 27-year-old forward.

Naturally, his performance prompted widespread reaction on social media, with his ever supportive dad, Dean, taking to Twitter to rave about his son’s performance.

What year were the club founded?

This unsurprisingly prompted a series of responses from the Sheffield Wednesday faithful as they replied in their droves to the original tweet.
