Fulham midfielder Jean Michael Seri is proving a real hit this season in the Sky Bet Championship, providing a reliable, regular presence in the middle of the park for the club and possessing bags of quality.

Certainly, he is looking every bit the player Fulham fans thought they had signed right at the beginning of his Craven Cottage career but he's certainly taken a little bit of time to get there.

The initial reaction, of course, was a positive one from Fulham fans with supporters of plenty of other clubs impressed with the London club pulling it off ahead of the 18/19 season:

Things did not go as well as Seri would have liked, though, and Fulham were relegated from the Premier League later on that season, whilst he spent time away on loan at the likes of Galatasaray for the 19/20 campaign.

Indeed, there seemed a good chance his Fulham stay would be coming to an end sooner rather than later with his loan spell going well, but he was once again back at Fulham for 2020/21, though again he'd spend time away.

The second half of that season saw him on loan at Bordeaux as the Whites, once again back in the Premier League, once again dropped out of it under Scott Parker.

Rumours again would have been that he might leave in the summer but, instead, he has remained under Marco Silva and is now arguably enjoying his best spell at the club since his arrival, delivering top performances in the middle of the park.

Fulham have a superb set of midfield options and Seri is perhaps top of the pile right now, and he'll be looking to keep that up in the weeks and months ahead.
