Portsmouth confirmed this afternoon that forward Ronan Curtis had committed his long-term future to the club by signing a new three-and-a-half year deal.

Kenny Jackett’s side are flying right now, with Saturday’s convincing win over fellow promotion hopefuls Sunderland making it eight victories in a row for Pompey.
Whilst it’s been a team effort, Curtis has shone over the past month or two and already has 11 league goals for the season.
Therefore, securing him on a longer deal was a priority and the club confirmed the news of the 23-year-old’s new deal on their official site earlier today.
As you would expect, it was an update that delighted the fans who recognise just how good Curtis is for this team as they look to win promotion back to the Championship. And, he will be key in the years to come as well.
Here’s some of the reaction to news of Curtis’ contract from Twitter…
What a great weekend for @Pompey. The Boardroom is renamed in honour of John Jenkins OBE, a great performance and result against Sunderland and now @RonanCurtis1 signs a new contract. Oh how l love this club. This news has helped cheer me up as l lay in my hospital bed at QA.

Excellent news. If we go up, he’ll stay. If we don’t, then we can now ask for £5m
