Leeds United midfielder Jamie Shackleton took another step closer to returning to the Whites' first team by completing just over an hour for the under-23s on Sunday afternoon.

Shackleton has not featured for Marcelo Bielsa's first team since coming on in the closing minutes of United's 1-0 victory at Reading back in November.

The 20-year-old had featured in six of United's opening 10 games before picking up a quad injury in the 1-0 win over West Bromwich Albion in October.

United ran out 5-0 winners over Hull City in their under-23s clash and after the victory, Shackleton took to Twitter to provide an update on his situation.

The midfielder clearly acknowledged that the last few months have been for frustrating for him but it was good to be back on the pitch yesterday, suggesting he may not be too far away from a first team comeback.

Here we take a look at some of the best replies to the 20-year-old's latest update...
