Birmingham City have endured a frustrating season so far and are languishing in the bottom half of the Championship.

The West Midlands outfit had another summer of turmoil leading up to the campaign, with Garry Monk's former assistant Pep Clotet taking over as the man in charge.

So, in truth, few knew what to expect but Blues did try and strengthen in pre-season, with Dinamo Zagreb's Ivan Sunjic the club's statement signing.

And, the 23-year-old has been a regular for much of the season so far, featuring in 27 league games - although he has spent the past two league games on the bench.

Therefore, the question was put to the Birmingham City Fan Zone Facebook Group asking the support for their thoughts on Sunjic's first six months at St. Andrew's and it's fair to say that it prompted a mixed response.

QUIZ: Can you name the club these 14 ex-Birmingham City players are playing for now?

Here we look at some of the reaction to the post...

Kent O'Brien: I like him. I think him and Kief at defensive midfield will be epic.

Riley Morrell: He does a lot of simple stuff very good. Not a game changer per sè but always gets stuck in.

Kenny Jones: Classy on the ball but gives up possession to often.

Declan Harkin: People were moaning about Pedersen all last season and now he is our best player. You've got to give him at least a year. I've been very impressed with him he's just going through a bad spell.

Stephen Scott Rowley: Average. No better than David Davis if I'm honest looked good at start now not impressed.

Cory Cruise: I honestly hope he’s the future of the club, he’s what we want to see from a midfielder he’s not scared to jump into a tackle, challenge for a header, never stops running and he’s only 21?/22? He’s still growing not just into the Championship but into a footballer in general.

Graham Freer: I think he is getting to grips with Championship! Blows hot and cold but he is settling in quite well. It takes time and he’s young. Least he doesn’t hide and he’s not afraid to challenge.
