Leeds United’s 2017/18 campaign is drifting towards a mid-table finish, with a dreadful start to the calendar year meaning that a play-off push has been left in tatters.  

Paul Heckingbottom was tasked with resurrecting a play-off challenge last month, but having overseen seven fixtures, Leeds are now further away from the play-offs than they were under Thomas Christiansen.

The Whites have picked up just one victory since Boxing Day, which has cost them the opportunity to challenge for a place in the end of season play-offs.

As expected, Leeds’ supporters are focusing on the playing squad, who haven’t been good enough this season.

Supporters voted narrowly in favour of not pursuing a summer deal for the 23-year-old, with plenty voicing their opinion on Twitter.
