Derby County are said to be locked in a transfer tussle with Swansea City and Millwall for striker Cameron Jerome according to a report from Turkish media outlet A Spor.

Jerome is out-of-contract with Turkish side Goztepe at the end of this year's campaign and is unlikely to have his deal with the club extended.

The 33-year-old has made 23 appearances in total for them this season, but has only found the back of the net on three occasions, which doesn't make for the best of reading.

Jerome has previously played for Derby, having scored six goals in 20 appearances for the Rams in the 2017/18 season, where they were eventually beaten by Fulham in their Play-Off Semi-Final over two legs.

The Rams are just five points adrift of the play-off places this season, and will be hoping that they can force themselves into the top-six before this year's campaign reaches a conclusion.

Plenty of Derby County fans took to the 'DCFC - It's in our DNA' Facebook page to issue their thoughts on the club's rumoured interest in signing Jerome for a second time.

Take a look at the best of the reaction below....

Antony Jackson: "Nope."

Dale Hitchcock: "No chance. He will go to Millwall."

Kim Williams: "No. He is 33 and currently has a strike rate of 3 goals in 23 games. Why would we want him back?"

Sean Bromley: "I'd sooner sign Martin to a 10 year deal!"

Dalraj Atwal: "Can't see it being true. We have two strikers in Martin Waghorn and Marriott. Jerome did well for us and deserved to stay over Nugent in my opinion, but he's not good enough to replace any of our strikers. That's if one was to leave."

Bignath Nil: "Average whilst he wore a derby shirt, extend martins contract instead."

Alan Jenkins: "We are going to spend millions then walk the league so why sign him."

Dave Taylor: "Yeah right."
